Katooni Ship - Star Wars: Smugglers Gambit

Star Wars: Smugglers Gambit is a new Fortnite island developed internally by Disney Games and Digital Entertainment.

I modeled, UV'd, textured, polished, and optimized Hondo Ohnaka's Katooni ship for Star Wars: Smugglers Gambit, a new Fortnite island that released August 16th! The Katooni can be found in Hondo's hangar in-game, as well as in the game's opening cinematic. Due to UEFN's texture size limitations, the ship primarily only uses one 1k trim sheet that I hand-painted in Photoshop. Thank you to Brian Beppu for the final polish pass on the in-engine material, Justin Woodard for the engine VFX, and thanks to my art lead Martin Teichmann! This game was a huge effort across multiple teams including Disney Games, Lucasfilm, the parks, and Imagineering. Special thanks to the immense contributions from everyone in Design, Concept Art, VFX, Character Art, Animation, Engineering, Sound, and Production Teams. This project is a result of the huge team effort and collaboration across our entire Disney Games and Digital Entertainment teams.
