Star Wars: Smugglers Gambit is a new Fortnite island developed internally by Disney Games and Digital Entertainment.

I modeled, UV'd, textured, polished, optimized, and set dressed the hangar area in the hub in Star Wars: Smugglers Gambit, a new Fortnite island that released August 16th. This is the area where players spawn into the game for the first time, get to interact with Hondo Ohnaka, choose their class, mission, and get rewards tied to the Smuggler's Run ride in the Disney parks. Some of the small crates, entry ceiling & floor pieces, and some cables were from the Star Wars creator pack of models. A huge thank you to Stephen Zavala from ILM / Lucasfilm for his amazing concepts and concept models! Thank you to Brian Beppu for making the final materials, Daphne Fiato for making the eligibility device on the door, and thanks to my art lead Martin Teichmann, as well as my art director Ken Morse! Special thanks to the immense contributions from everyone in Design, Concept Art, VFX, Character Art, Animation, Engineering, Sound, and Production Teams. This project is a result of the huge team effort and collaboration across our entire Disney Games and Digital Entertainment teams.
